For all courses it is essential to book a place.  Places cannot be confirmed until a completed enrolment form and full payment have been received. For Stage 1 courses dogs will be offered places on courses with other dogs of a similar age. Puppies will not be included in classes with older dogs.

Christine has teamed up with Nick and Melinda Garrity who have the beautiful 4* Townsend Farmhouse B&B in Somerset to offer a weekend of Fun and Games with your dog on 7,8,9, October 2011

Prices from £150 for a single handler for the weekend and from £285 for a couple

Price includes 2 nights B&B, lunch on Saturday and Sunday,  training sessions on Saturday and Sunday, guided walk followed by cream tea on Saturday

Christine has assisted the APDT  (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) in designing the new APDT Good Companion Awards which have just been launched in 2011.  These are aimed at teaching you how to train your dog sympathetically, using reward based techniques and kind, fair, effective handling.  At present there are two awards: The APDT Good Companion Puppy Award for puppies under 6 months and the APDT Good Companion Foundation Award for dogs and puppies over 6 months.

All courses are for 6 weeks unless stated otherwise.

Each session lasts approximately 1 hour. 

The fee for all courses is £60 payable in full upon enrolment. 

Pre-enrolment is necessary for all courses

APDT Puppy Award - A 6 week course introducing your puppy to basic obedience, including walking on a loose lead, sit, down, stand, leave it.  Learn how to help your puppy develop into a well mannered dog, plus the chance to discuss any problems you are experiencing and how to overcome them.  Commencing September 12 at 7.30pm

APDT Foundation Award  - A 6 week course working on general obedience, play and control.  Helping you to build a firm and lasting relationship with your dog.  Commencing Thursday September 15th 6.30pm

Basic Gun Dog - A 6 week course introducing basic gundog skills both on and off lead.  Commencing Monday 12th September at 6.30pm 2 places left

An Introduction to Clicker - A 6 week course introducing the magic of the clicker, teaching your dog to problem solve while learning.  Commencing Thursday September 15th 7.30pm, 3 places left

Fun and Games – A 6 week course incorporating obedience, HTM, agility, tricks and games, great fun for handler and dog.  Excellent way of building that everlasting bond with your dog, this course is full of ideas of games to play with your dog to make sure you remain the best of friends.  Dogs should be over 12 months. October

Rally Obedience – A 6 week introduction to this fun new sport. Incorporating obedience with navigating a course of exercises, such as sit, about turn and stay. Suitable for all dogs, any age or breed, even dogs with disabilities are welcome on this course.  Should have completed Stage 1 Obedience or equivalent.  Commencing September

Agility for Beginners – A 6 week introduction to agility.  Dogs must be 18 months or over and have completed the Foundation Award or equivalent.  All key equipment will be covered, A Frame, Dog Walk, Weave, Jumps, See Saw.  Great way to keep you and your dog fit!  Waiting list open, ring for details

Agility Stage 2 – A 6 week course building on the skills learnt at Agility Stage 1 adding speed and control to the navigation of more complicated courses.  Dogs must be 18 months or over and have completed Agility Stage 1 or equivalent   Waiting list open, ring for details

Saturday Morning Workshops - £20 per handler

Saturday 1st August from10am Test Your Dog's IQ! - A hilarious session putting your dog through his/her paces - how will they score?! From 10am to 12.30pm



Terms and Conditions

There will be a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 dogs on each course. (Maximum of 10 on Workshops)

If a course is cancelled for any reason you will be offered a full refund or an  alternative course.

Fees are non refundable unless it is decided by Christine that the course is unsuitable, then an alternative course/one to one session will be offered.

When booking a course please ensure you are available for all sessions, changes can not be made to class dates unless there are adverse weather conditions or the training area is not available for safety reasons.

All training is reward based with absolutely no aversives.  Checking type collars and leads are not acceptable.  Extending leads are not suitable for training classes.

 Places on all courses must be pre-booked and paid for in advance.

You are welcome to visit and observe any session but please do not bring your dog as this

could upset the class.  Please ring to arrange
